What joy the gospel gives me. I can approach the throne of God with confidence, not because I've done a good job at my spiritual duties, but because I'm clothed in the righteousness of Jesus Christ. ~ C.J. Mahaney

A Little Birdie Told Me It Was Spring!

IMG_9662

I told you the Spring Give-Away would be different.  And I wasn't joking.  Lacy and I put our heads together to make these wreaths to give away to two of you!

First up is a perky little rag wreath I put together with some of my favorite fabrics.  Bright, cheerful, and tied with my signature gingham, this one comes with a special little friend attached!  I can think of a dozen places I'd hang this...laundry room...powder room...or maybe even right on the back door.  I hope it will bring a smile to everyone who sees it.

Next up is this adorable crocheted flower wreath made by Lacy just for you! I was so pleased with the way this turned out.  The idea for the flowers came from Lucy's blog.  If you could use a little sunshine in your day, I suggest you stop by her blog for a look-see at Attic 24.

When I saw Lucy's little flowers the other day, I asked Lacy if she would mind stitching some into a wreath for me.  The words were barely out of my mouth before she was turning out these jaunty blooms.

So there you are!  A rainbow of Spring color for my sweet friends. To enter the drawing, tell me what you love about Spring!   I'll draw randomly next week sometime!

My favorite thing about Spring, if I have to chose just one, is hearing the whippoorwill in the evenings when we walk around the neighborhood.

Tag!  You're it!

Hi Laura! I love your wreath! My favorite thing about Spring is going back outside to walk at night while Grace rides her bike! (Without me sweating to death of course! :)) Melissa

Laura,
I love both of the wreaths! What I love most about spring is yellow daffodils bursting forth in their glorious display. I also love being outside, the longer days, the nippy air in the morning and evenings and the sunkissed cheeks on my kids.
Please enter me in the drawing...I would love to take one to Africa with me :)

Hi Laura! My favorite thing about Spring has to be the beautiful flowers bursting forth...daffodils, crocuses, tulips. After marking the death of our infant son in early March, the sight of the beautiful flowers is a welcome gift from God, a reminder of his love and faithfulness. If the flowers in my yard are this beautiful, oh, what my Wills must see in Heaven!

You are so very talented and I would be so excited to display one of these wreaths in my home!

How did you know I was looking for a spring something to hang on my door? Maybe there is a reason I couldn't find one at Walmart on Friday! :-) My favorite thing about spring is flowers in general. I don't think there is a one I don't like. I just love all the color. I can't get enough flowers in my own yard, have to watch myself so I don't create a jungle. HA! Enter me in the drawing.

Love,
Rochelle

Love them both! My favorite thing about spring is Everything about spring. Spring is the happy childhood of the year. Nothing seems as serious in the spring.
