I know, I know.
I'm supposed to be finishing a quilt for Abby. I only have four blocks left till I can put it all together. But what is a girl supposed to do when she gets a fit of inspiration in the middle of another project? Well, if she's an A.D.D. Quilter like me, she drops what she's doing and starts something else. I'm sure that you Type-A, one-project-at-a time-people *cough, cough, Jean, cough* won't be able to relate to this at all. So, just bear with me.
(I'm guessing there are a few of you out there like me. You just won't admit it. )
It's just that there was this cute little stack of left-over 2" squares and some fun, bright fall-colored fabrics, begging, just begging to become something beautiful. How could I resist? So I took a little break from my #1 project and whipped up this little table topper/wall hanging. And in an effort to spread a little autumnal cheer, I'm going to give this piece of stitchery away to one of you. *
*Insert wild applause and gleeful outbursts here
I can't tell you how much I'd love to have this on my table, with a bowl of apples and pears perched upon it. But I figure, why not share the love, you know?
On Monday, I'll unveil the finished piece. In the meantime, leave me a comment if you want me to enter you in the drawing to win it. And, hey, while you're at it, tell me your FAV-O-RITE thing about fall. Okey Doke?
Oh, and BT Dub, you're gonna need to really like C~O~L~O~R to appreciate this one!
Love,
Laura Lee

Laura - please enter me in your quilt give away. I love to read your blog and dream!! :)
Fall is my favorite because it brings crisp mornings and cold evenings. I love the change of color in the trees, pulling out all of the jackets and wearing a sweater. Cooler weather warms my heart!

I need something bright to cheer me up in the Fall. It always makes me sad because although the falling leaves are beautiful I dread the bare trees in the winter. (Maybe that's because I came from South Texas where things stay green year-round.) BTW you can bring it to me at the Beach!

Enter me in the fall giveaway. I am dying for some fall leaves in my yard, colors in my house, etc. After three years in Hawaii, I can almost taste the cool crisp weather, the need for a jacket and long pants, etc. and not just have to fake it to make my mind keep track with the calendar. :-)

This is my first visit to your blog, but you do beautiful work. Count me in on your fall giveaway! :) Thank you for sharing one of your lovely creations.
Fall is my favorite time of year. I love the crisp coolness of the air, the changing leaves, the urge to bake and the aromas of cinnamon and yeast that arise from it. I love the symbolism of how beautiful the death of the leaves is, and how it heralds new life. Here in GZ, it's also the least polluted time of year-yay! :)

The smell of burning leaves, the sound and feel of crisp wind in the trees, the chilly feeling of cool air on your face in the morning when you've slept with the window open, throwing on a fluffy robe and making coffee first thing in the morning, the wonderful scent of spiced candles burning in the evenings when you've finished the last dishes, snuggling up under a Mommy-made quilt for a good chat with none other than Mommy herself, and watching the leaves change and fall are some of the many reasons why autumn is, by far, my favorite season of the year.
For me intense color is very pleasing and one of the things I most love about Fall are the colors of the leaves, pumpkins, and mums. I love to see red, orange and yellow leaved trees against a clear blue sky, so stimulating!!
